Arts Organization Grant Applications Will Be Accepted starting September 1st, 2021.
NONPROFIT ARTS ORGANIZATIONS GRANT

 GENERAL GUIDELINES
Dakota West Arts Council's Grant Program is a partnership between the City of Bismarck and Dakota West Arts Council. DWAC manages the granting program and funds are invested to enhance the overall health and well being of the Capital City's high-quality arts and culture programming through organizations and other non-profits proposing arts-and-culture focused projects.  The City and the Arts Council’s Board of Directors place a priority on programs and projects that best reflect the Arts Council’s mission and the City's Strategic Plan and serve the residents of Bismarck.  A review Evaluation Committee consisting of members of the arts community and community members at large evaluates each application and recommends funding. Evaluation Committee recommendations are presented to the Dakota West Arts Council Board of Directors for review and approval of all funding decisions. The Arts Council staff does not make funding decisions. Although two board members facilitate the panel meetings, they do not state opinions or make recommendations to the panel. All applicants will receive award notification via email in November. Successful applicants will receive their funds once a signed contract is returned (email is preferred with 2022 Grant Contract as the subject) and membership dues have been paid.
*Due to the Covid 19 pandemic and the uncertainty this time provides, we urge you to be creative in ways you can responsibly be creative should your performance or activity need to be postponed or cancelled in person- be it with online performances, exhibits, etc.
